Located in the western region of Russia, and lies by the Moskva River. Red Square of Moscow, The Kremlin, and Lenin Mausoleum are locations that are extremely splendid. Other places in Moscow are not as interesting and inviting to the tourist. The extreme and fun places of Moscow is located in all the small bays and corners on every street. Red Square of Moscow
The number one place to visit in Russia is the Red Square this is the most popular tourist location. The Red square is considered the center of Moscow and all of Russia, it is also popular for its beautiful castle. In the Red Square there will be the famous St. Basil's Cathedral, State History Museum and Mausoleum of Lenin.
Lenin's Mausoleum
A tomb preserved as a resting place for Vladimir Lenin, located in Red Square in Moscow. Since is death in 1924, his body has been embalmed and shown to the public. Lenin’s Mausoleum is also known as Lenin’s Tomb. A tip for people who don't have any idea Vladimir Lenin is, well he is famous for his support to Karl Marx's Socialism. He also was a famous communist politician who Led the October Revolutionary 1917. One of Vladimir Lenin's famous quotes were "Authority poisons everybody who take authority on himself".
The Kremlin
Without visiting the Kremlin, a tour to Russia is not perfect. The Kremlin is a place where the history lies because it has palaces, cathedrals, towers, and walls. Watching a ballet performance is absolutely necessary.
Saint Petersburg is a very modernized city compared to Moscow, it is also famous for gaining tons of historical significance in a short time. St. Petersburg is located on the Neva River at the head of the Gulf of Finland on the Baltic Sea. Famous for being the former capital of Russia. The Hermitage Museum, The Russian Museum - Mikhalovsky Palace, and St. Isaac’s Cathedral are places to visit in Saint. Petersburg.
The St. Isaac’s Cathedral
Was actually the largest cathedral in Russia, it was built to be one of the most splendid land of the Russian Imperial City. Other places to visit in Saint. Petersburg are mostly Museum and Monuments, which is explained under.
Souvenirs Because Russia is know for its strong Religious views and War-like history, its Souvenirs have the same characteristics. Souvenirs are found all over Russia however, There is a place called Old Arbat Street that have tons and tons of different kinds of Souvenirs, also if one feels hungry after their shopping there are tons of restaurants too. Matryoshka Dolls
Also known as Russian nesting doll, are a famous Russian souvenir. They come in many different styles, there is traditional style, whimsical styles, and also people! These are a set of dolls of decreasing sizes placed on inside the other. The price of the Matryoshka Dolls would go up if the decoration is more delicate or if there is more importance. The prices of these dolls vary from $10 US dollars to about $40 US dollars. Lacquer Boxes
Lacquer boxes also special kinds of souvenirs that have meaning to them. On the top of the box there are some kinds of paintings, these paintings represent Russia’s past or their pride. Either it’s about Religion or War-like it has a relationship with Russia. Nowadays these Boxes are about $100 in the US, which is totally ridiculous because about 10 years ago it was possible to find a medium sized Lacquer box for only $30.

Monuments
Many significant historical monuments of Russia are in St. Petersburg and Moscow. Like any historical monument, the cities have many wealth of statues and monuments commemorating their histories and their greatest citizens. St. Petersburg and Moscow's public spaces are decorated with the figures of Russia's literary greats, military heroes, and political dignitaries, and a score of monuments to the city's triumphs and tragedies, especially to the hardships and losses suffered by the cities.
Monument to Alexander II
This monument is a memorial of Emperor Alexander II of Russia, located in the immediate surroundings of the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour in Moscow.
The Bronze Horseman
This impressive monument is dedicated to the founder of St Petersburg, Peter the Great. It stands on Senatskaia Ploschad' and faces the Neva River. According to the 19th century legend, enemy forces will never take St. Petersburg while the "Bronze Horseman" stands in the middle of the city.
To the Conquerors of Space
This monument was erected in Moscow in 1964 to celebrate achievments of the Soviet people in the space exploration. The main part of the monument is a giant obelisk topped by a rocket and has a statue of Konstantin Tsiolkovsky in front of the obelisk.
Fyoder Dostoyevsky
Because St. Petersburg is often referred to this great Russian novelist who spent most of his life in St. Petersburg, they built this statue for this man. The monument offers a powerful depiction of the writer with its unique and modern design.
The Moscow Triumphal Gate
This gate was erected in memory of the Russian victory in the Russo-Turkish war of 1828. The monumental portico made of powerful columns symbolizes the greatness and glory of the Russian army.
The Narva Triumphal Arch
This arch was erected as a memorial to the War of 1812. The arch is topped off with an impressive triumphal chariot pulled by six horses. They also put a graceful and powerful figure in the chariot.
Museums
Hermitage Museum
Located in St. Petersburg, the Heritage Museum has room after room of remarkable artistic masterpieces done by famous artists from around the world such as Leonardo da Vinci, Rembrandt, Rubens and Van Dyck.
The State Russian Museum
The museum used to be called "Russian Museum of Emperor Alexander III" and was established in 1895. It opened its doors on March 7, 1898. The first painting for its collection were donated by the Heritage.

Geography (Jae Hyun A.) When looking at the geographic features of Russia, one can see it as the Jack of all trades. The country is divided into 5 geographic territories: trundra, taiga, steppe, arid and mountains. All consisting of long fields and ranges of nature! Consisting of almost nothing manmade, and purely experience the fresh and natural air. Due to the countries cold weather, one must be prepared for the immense amount of snow, with even areas of permafrost in the Tundra. Tourists often visit in the summer when the snow has melted, between the months of July and August. Between May to June and September to October are also advised to tourists who wish to avoid the crowds. Times such as February and March are avoided due to the melting of ice, causing the roads to be slippery and dangerous. Due to the countries close location to the Arctic ocean one may often the country is extremely cold covered in snow. However, the cold waters still haven't prevented large dry plains from forming. Even with the dry plains, one is strongly advised to be dressed for extremely cold weather.
Caucasus Mountains
Although wondering within these mountains are dangerous, tourists may still view the astonishing site of mountains covered in pure white snow.
The Kola Peninsula
If one wishes to move away from the harsh cold weathers, long fields of shrubs, with distant mountains and forests for leisure and picnics.
Southern Ural Mountains
Hike through the vast Ural Mountains to see sites that extend further than the horizons. A grasp of fresh air and adventure.
Angara River
Row through the silent and peaceful rivers while enjoying the distant mountains.
Boreal forest: Nizhnevartovsk, Russia

They say that before the wedding all the members of the family helped to prepare a good stock of this honey drink for the marrying pare. Then during the wedding and 30 days after the married couple had to drink only this beverage - no any other was allowed. So the honeymoon was called in Russia after an actual honey drink.
